Who We Are

An attorney by training and former federal prosecutor, Alicia followed her passion for political strategy in 2017 when she co-founded Invest to Elect Illinois, a women’s political bundle. Over four years, Alicia helped grow this group into one of the largest women’s political bundles in the country which had raised over $5 million for Democratic candidates and causes by the time she left to form EDG in 2021. While at Invest to Elect, Alicia served on its Steering Committee and was also Chair of the Research and Strategy Committee, where she led a team of researchers and provided valuable strategic advice to members concerning which races and initiatives to support.

Alicia served ten years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia and before that as an associate at Covington & Burling in Washington, DC. She received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 1989, from which she graduated cum laude, and was on the winning Ames Moot Court team. She received her AB from Dartmouth College where she majored in Government and from which she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude. A native of Wisconsin, Alicia is a first generation college graduate from a union family and currently lives in the Chicago area.
