DRIVING COMMUNICATIONS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA
Our Work
New Hampshire, Nevada and North Carolina Senate Races, 2022
In coordination with Senator Doug Jones, EDG was asked to create and lead a social media strategy for Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, Senator Maggie Hassan and challenger Cheri Beasley in the last 30 days of the 2022 campaign. Senator Jones called our results "game-changing."
These are some of our results:
Senator Cortez Masto’s race in Nevada

-
304% increase in number of people who saw posts about her (”reach”)
-
130% increase in mentions of her social media handle
-
72% positive sentiment score, increased from 66% (think of this as an online approval rating as determined by social listening software)
Senator Hassan’s race in New Hampshire

-
186% increase in her social media reach
-
59% increase in mentions of her social media handle
-
75% positive sentiment score, increased from 53%
Cheri Beasley's race in North Carolina

-
268% increase in her social media reach
-
59% increase in mentions of her social media handle

81% positive sentiment score, increased from 67%
Oklahoma Senate Race, 2022
EDG was retained to lead the social media and communications strategy for Congresswoman Kendra Horn’s campaign for US Senate. Although this campaign received no financial support from the Democratic Party and had limited funding, EDG designed a social media campaign that would have cost $4.7 million had the campaign used a traditional paid digital advertising strategy.
These are some of our results:

● 5,800 social media users inspired to spread the campaign’s messaging
● 111 Million Increase to her social media reach, from virtually nothing
● 76% positive sentiment score, up from 54%
● EDG was able to generate these results for a tiny fraction of what it would have cost the campaign for paid digital advertising of this magnitude
The Nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson
EDG was tasked by Senator Doug Jones to design and implement a social media strategy to garner public support for the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the US Supreme Court. EDG designed a social media campaign that would have cost $15.4 million had the campaign used a traditional paid digital advertising strategy.
These are some of our results over a two week period:

● 3,600 social media users inspired to amplify our campaign hashtag (#AJustice4All)
● 2.2 Billion impressions
● 361 Million individuals reached on social media
● 88% positive sentiment score for our hashtag campaign
